<h2>Wat betreft Gnutella</h2>
<p>
“Gnutella” is, momenteel, de benaming voor een protocol wat het
delen van bestanden over netwerken mogelijk maakt en wordt vooral gebruikt
voor het delen van muziekbestanden. De naam verwijst soms ook naar het
netwerk zelf of naar de originele Gnutella software. Een verwarrende

Hoe dan ook, van origine was de naam een woordspeling op “GNU”
(de ontwikkelaars waren van plan de software uit te brengen onder de GNU GPL
en waren wellicht ook van plan dit bij te dragen aan het GNU project) en
“Nutella” (een reep die de ontwikkelaars lekker vonden). Echter,
noch de software noch enig verwant project zijn onderdeel geworden van de <a
href="/philosophy/categories.html#GNUsoftware">officiële GNU
paketten</a>. We hebben de Gnutella-ontwikkelaars gevraagd de naam te
