2019-02-02process: move DEP0062 (node --debug) to end-of-lifeJoyee Cheung
This has already been practically end-of-life since `node --debug` alone would exit the process. This patch drops support of `node --inspect --debug-brk` as well. `node --inspect --debug-brk` has been deprecated since v8, it has been maintained so that vendors can target Node.js v6 and above without detecting versions. The support of `--inspect`, which starts from v6, will reach end-of-life in April 2019, it should be safe to drop the support of `--inspect --debug-brk` altogether in v12. This commit moves DEP0023 to end of life status. The os.getNetworkInterfaces() method was introduced in the unstable 0.5.0 release, and runtime deprecated in 0.6.0, the first stable release of its existence. This commit also fixes an inaccuracy in the deprecation, as the replacement (os.networkInterfaces()) is actually a method. We can `dns.lookup` a falsy `hostname` like `dns.lookup(false)` for the reason of backwards compatibility long before(see #13119 for detail). This behavior is undocumented and seems useless in real world apps. We could also make invalid `hostname` throw in the future and the change might be semver-major. I assume that permitting digest === null was unintentional when digest === undefined was deprecated since their behavior was equivalent. The sha1 default for digest === null has somehow made it through refactoring of the PBKDF2 module multiple times, even though digest === undefined has been EOL for some time now. This change deprecates setting digest to null so we can fix the behavior in Node.js 12 or so. The APIs were probably exposed by accident. getAuthTag and setAuthTag are not a usual getter/setter pair: Getting the authentication tag only makes sense in the context of encryption, setting it only makes sense in the context of decryption. Currently, both functions throw. Neither has been documented publicly.
